More power from a PPP Scooby

Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy a 2005 Blob - Most have the PPP fitted.

They quote power figures near 305bhp -

Just doing some homework - If i wanted more power what is required? and what can the standard engine internals work with?

What would be the mods?

I have missed the turbo cars, and unsure how this would compare to my current RS4 4.2 v8 that i am selling at the moment - 400bhp

Thanks

You're asking questions that have been asked a million times on a forum thats being slowly killed off by social media, in an era where people are only interested in posting things for their own benefit.

The answer to your questions are
A remap
400bhp on stock internals is considered safe
mods and power depend on budget but typically decat exhaust, fuel pump, decent air filter, 3 port boost solenoid see's around 330bhp with map.
After that its turbo, injectors, fmic blah blah.

More info before you can get reasonable answers.

Is it a blob wrx or sti? Both of these came with the "ppp" package.

Quoted figures of 305bhp would suggest it's an sti but I'll hold off for a definite answer.

Just curious, surely someone with a 6000+ post count on a Subaru forum knows the answers to basic questions like this? I'm an old fart with the attention span of a goldfish, with a blob sti, and even I know the basic mods path/upgrades etc.
