Hatchback recaro bolster replacement

I've just picked up a set of recaro's in good condition apart from the common drivers side bolster wear.

I've ordered the bolster foam pad to replace it. Does anyone have any tips or is there a guide anywhere on how to replace this part? I've searched but can't find any info.

I was wondering why my lower seat bolster on the outside had a weird hard kind of seperation in the foam - been bugging me. Is this common then?

A company called Capital Seating supply original RECARO parts. Call them for other stuff not listed.

Yes from what I've been reading it's common for the bolster foam to go. I ordered it from subaru was £50 which I thought was reasonable enough tbh

This may help? :

It's the seat bolster (bottom) that's on is way out right side nearest the door. Thanks for the link though. I stripped them down a bit to give them a good clean. So have an idea now how to tackle replacing the bolster when it comes.
All fitted today though and they're like night and day compared to the standard STI seats. Have an annoying squeek on the drivers side which I'll try and sort when I take it out to fix the bolster.

it's a good little youtube clip and not a bad idea to do it

I had a reply from Capital Seating they don't supply the part but the seat is based on the Recaro Speed seat, they had a short guide on how to replace the foam (See below)

Just for reference if anybody else is in the same boat, the Subaru part number is (64120H)

RECARO Bolster Foam

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

General Note:
It is possible to replace the door side foam without taking the seat out of the vehicle however it is less awkward if the seat is removed completely.

• The bolster cover is held in position by small hooks on the seat frame which hold the edge of the cover.
• Start by carefully levering the front edge of the bolster cover from the retaining hooks on the underside of the frame and similarly to the hooks on the inside of the frame between the bolster and centre cushion.
• Continue to undo the bolster cover to about 2/3rds of the way towards the back and roll it back to expose the foam. This should be just about enough to pull the old foam out from the frame.
• Position the new foam in place and carefully roll the cover back into position. The cover may need to be massaged a little to remove any creases and to ensure it is positioned correctly.
• Attach the cover to the hooks on the frame starting at the FRONT and work your way back.

All you have quoted above is the Part Code - not the actual Part Number

Line 1 is for the RH side and line 2 is for the LH side
