Anyone here using Buddyclub seat rails?

I've installed the driver side seat and rail in my Blob but I've found that the slider mechanism is very difficult to operate. Anyone else have the same issue? Is it some sort of design fault or is there a problem with mine?

Sounds like you have the rails slightly out of alignment. I reckon if you slaken the bolts and try to align them again it should work.

The four main bolts to the chassis? Did wonder about this and was going to measure between the rails front and rear to see if there was any difference :thumb:

Yep! I reckon its probably best to engage the mech and check the number of notches matches then align in the car and tighten the 2 front (or rears) fully down then carefully release and move the seat to tighten the other ones.

have used and supplied them for years with no issue so potentially misaligned as above

be aware that like most things there are plenty of 'copies' around also of varying quality

The little sticker on it sure looks genuine but yeah, you never know Alyn. I did actually find that the rail nearest the transmission tunnel was a bit of a bitch to get lined up right.

I'll have a play around with it this evening and see what's what.

Had a go at sorting this last night. With the bolts slackened off the seat rails worked perfectly. Unfortunately, try as I might, I cannot make that remain the case when the bolts are then tightened again so I am going to have to live with a seat that's hell to move. There just isn't any way I could find to prevent the rails shifting slightly during tightening :(

Here's a couple of questions, as I'm wondering;

1. Is there a correct way around for the tall side mounts and the short ones? I've got the little one at the front currently, but have seen them fitted both ways.

2. Would it make any difference to fitting if I bolted the rails in without a seat attached? That's the only other thing I can try if I decide to revisit this.
