Number plate worth
Hi, thinking about selling my number plate but unsure how much to put it up for. The number plate is S300 BYF - SCOOBY F.
Its currently on retention as sold my scooby a few years ago and probs won't get another one. Would he be good to know how much people reckon on here? Thanks |

I'd say about £300/£400.
|
If the F was a D maybe worth a little, not sure it's got a value to be fair
S300 BYF, S300BY F, S300BYF - doesn't look good any way TBH |
Only really worth £250 maybe a little more but there's loads of "scooby" esq plates available but I guess it's worth what someone's prepared to pay for
|
maybe if it was SC00BY R, otherwise it's just the usual DO65HIT
|
EAT 5HIT for sale via police and government auctions at present! Not Scooby related though! I've sold A55 OFF and YE55 OFF. People will buy them at good money if they like it regardless of price. My best find from when I was in Renaultsport was CL10 CUP. Funnily enough that reg is on the Clio Cup Clarkson drove on Top Gear. Some people do like private plates, others find tacky. But everyone likes buying at £250 & selling at 100+% profit!
|
Oh by the way still the odd MY__ BUG & there may be but not checked recently MY__STI on DVLA site 👍🏼 If your savvy loads of good plates still knocking about if that's your thing.

Steve Parrish (motogp/IOM TT) used to have PEN1S but he sold it...Probably to a rich bloke in an upmarket private club where all the members and big nobs hang out. I always fancied having W4NKR, or R5OLE. |
V1AGRA on a Vogue knocking around Manchester. BRA5H on an R8 in Glasgow. P1 is out there somewhere but belongs to a Pilot, P1 is the Captains seat on a commercial aircraft apparently. There are good Subaru plates still about 2019 will be a good year for private plates due to the 19 combo if anyone wants to plan ahead!!!!
|
A mate of mine used to have A1 GUN must have been worth a bit.
|
Good plates make good money simple as. The key is to think outside the box & only use the DVLA site to buy from new. You use a broker you pay their mortgage simple as. A1 GUN would go for a fortune in the right market. Anyway don't want to hijack the OP thread (prob to late, sorry) but stick at it, if you can stick it on retention at £25 a year & find the right market you are quids in. But if you let it lapse it will never exist again! As a Scooby owner I would try do another a favour, private plates aren't everyone's thing but take £250 upto £500 & double your money and they would be happy I am sure.

I always remember an old plate
POT 80S, thought it was quite clever anyone fancy PA15LCY or BE15TAF give me a shout |

I once saw an BMW E30 with the plate UPR1X...that was amusing for all of 2 seconds. |
I'm sure it would probably be, a quick search on DVLA plates would give it away. My point is thatbthey are out there & cost rock all & make good money in return. I guess I could dig out the old reg docs for most but we don't care to spoil the OPs chat to do that? Whether I am a

Fool, liar, or other. I am a fan so wish to spread a bit of Scooby wealth? Loads of STI plates still going. If people really really care search BRZ on DVLA plates and have some of imagination. With love Rory x

Funkyrimpler, i am guessing by your unique it carries some value to you. Why don't you give me a budget & some specific details and I will find you a plate you want? I am pretty good at it? If not then I guess we can le

T it go at that? Oh just realised! Replying from the beach abroad messes up the response chain. I apologise for that x

I saw the plate 'O1' on a Seat Leon a few years back, parked up in Cambridge. I imagine that plate would be worth serious money !!!
And a pal sent me this.... https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...1259636c7f.png |

T1 Rally Raid! Great plate. You interested in selling it at any point? PM if you prefer but I know a few guys who buy and sell a lot of plates. Some at very very good money. SC1 for stupid cash sold to that great British export Simon Cowell!!!! Anyone who thinks plates are tacky? That one plate made someone mortgage clear & still left money in the bank 👍🏼.
|
Got S8EC C on my car. Might also suit an Audi S8 ECC or a Westfield.
|
The OP as not been back on then?
