wrx to forester xt

hello,

after owning one gt turbo and one wrx I past to the forester for personal reasons but I really miss than spool of the scoobies and I would like to upgrade a bit my foz nothing crazy just around the stock power of one wrx something betwee 200 and 225 hp would be ok.

My current xt it's an stock model which initialy was doing 177hp but nowadays after more than 207000 km on the clock I guess it may be so ponies left

Not so much scooby garages out there in my area so I would appreciate if there is someone around this forum who is expert in the topic to confirm what parts from an 2.0t WRX/STI can be fitted in a 2.0t MY03 Forester Xt.

My car's sheet says that it was entered in Barcelona's port at October 2003 so I often I have doubts if it can be considered an 2004 model instead of an 2003 model

it's an 2.0 turbo XT but often I can not fill up the site order gaps because usually they jump from SF model which is normally until 2002 to a 2004 models, also models from 2004 mostly are 2.5 liter so I am not able to choose my 2.0 choice so I am not able to order any part.

I asume that the wrx and my xt share the same EJ20 engine or at least it's what is written in my data sheet car so I was wondering maybe I can order parts like if were for an 2003 wrx instead but I want to be sure before to order

thanks in advance

The EJ20 in the XT has milder cams than the WRX I believe, so performance will always be less. However, all parts from WRX should bolt on.

As above, it has milder cams than the wrx.

The 10th character of the VIN (unless JDM) will tell you the Model Year (MY).

If it's "3" it's a MY03; if it's "4" it's MY04

October 2003 delivery into country will more than likely make it a MY04 which should have the advantage of Inlet valve AVCS.

MY04 XT's had the choice of 2.0L and 2.5L engines

Here are some links to posts with European 2.0L XT and S-turbo upgrades/figures.
