Fast road and odd track day tyres

Hi all,

Sorry I know this will of been covered many times before but wanted a few opinions on which tyres to get. I'm running 450/420 and on pzero neros at the minute which I don't rate at all, get a bit of spin in the wet and plenty of understeer.

Ive been looking at AD08Rs which are supposed to be a really good track tyre in the dry, what are they like as a road tyre and in wet conditions?

My other option is michelin pilot sport 4s, I've had the PS3s and really rated them on the road. Would they be suitable on track also?

Anything else to consider?

235/40/18s

Thanks

Pilot super sports, ps2 cup, Bridgestone potenza re070. Stiff side wall suits imprezas

Got AD08Rs here, really rate them.

They actually performed very well recently in the wet/torrential downpour :lol1:

+1 for ad08's.

Im a yoko fan and use ad08's pretty much all year but have Wdrives for a few months when its nippy.

Considering how track focussed they look, ad08's are suprisingly happy in the wet. Did a track day at keevil when there was standing water in places and couldnt upset them.

Are pilot super sports a better tyre than the ps4s then?

The ps4s are actually meant to be the successor to the super sports! The name doesn't makes sense but I guess that's the French for you! :wonder:

I've got the super sports in 225/40 and they are very impressive in the dry and ok in the wet. Now according to some tyre test they managed to really up the wet performance for the ps4. So that will probably be my next summer tyre. :thumb:

Not tried the yokos yet so can't compare unfortunately.
