Added mini mudflaps to my wagon today. Effing pain in the arse to be honest as the old mudflaps bolts were all rusted and fused so had to be ground off. Once they were off it was a case of cleaning the arches and crud out all the nooks and crannies (no bad thing) then aligning the new ones up and drilling a few extra holes in them so they could be mounted securely. Still once it’s done it’s done, all secured with stainless bolts and properly greased as well. Now the filthy girl needs a cleaning I think.

In the end I went for minis from Scoobyworld.com Now there on I quite like them. |
In the UK there called registration plates or number plates.
License plates don't exist in the UK :thumb:

Got the new stereo installed and all set up with my phone, just get in the car and it automatically connects to my phone and plays my music, exactly what I’ve been after. I may adjust the brackets and drill new holes to it sits perfectly flush with the facia one day but for now I hardly notice.

Not a mod as such but "adjusted" the front brake disc shields - no more annoying "skeleton w@nking in a biscuit tin" sound!

No mods here, popped out last night for fuel to car not starting once I’d filled up so quick trip to halfrauds £61 on trade not to bad.

Guages to finish off my center console
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...e6c96eeedb.jpg |
Headlights polished, much better finish this time.
Dipped beam bulbs replaced with Philips X-treme Vision, should have been a 20 minute job but ended up taking much longer as the passenger side bulb cover would not come off. Grrrr |
Managed to get hold of a set of some 18" Prodrive GC-07 forged alloys, not completely mint but will be refurbished in early next year.
Photos aren't brilliant but it was cold and I wanted to crack on. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...f3a76e7bf1.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...87dc0776bd.jpg Need bigger brakes as my 330 discs look tiny under 18" wheels  |

Lefty its known that the iridiums arent great on subaru's. Stuck with platunum they last longer and probably perform just as good or better
I did an oil change, changed my spark plugs, a pair of number plate bulbs, moved the number plate lower as it couldnt be seen on the rear and gave her a wash https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...13ba9032b.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...14120acac.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...bab8784b7.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...8b59d5c53.jpeg |

For my Winter fun, I've got a set of Goodrich braided hoses, and rebuilt the calipers. Disc have been blasted clean of rust (not been using the old girl) and also I've cleaned off the rust on the backplates and painted them with black zinc paint.
New BC-ZR Struts fitted, just need to make brackets up for the gas bottles that are attached with hoses to the top mounts. Loads of new bolts all over the underside. Next job is a new Timing Belt kit and then I might even get it off the stands and drive the old thing. |

Thought i would take advantage of the last £1 listing day and put the wheels up for sale, sold them for £400 literally within twenty minutes. The guy drove 2 hours to pick them up. Should have listed them for more!

I tried and failed at fitting a brake stopper....
I thought it would be pretty straight forward, but i think i might have the wrong kit for my model. Does any body have a pic of one fitter to a classic. I have the Tegiwa kit. TIA. |
