HI
Once you get the caliper off , the disc will just pull off , if it's stuck and wont move at all , it's probably corrosion holding it in place , tap it with a mallet on the outer diameter to ' break the seal ' , it will come off then . If it moves a bit but jams , the handbrake shoes need slackening off , there is a rubber bung on the front face of the bell , remove it , and you will see an adjuster , put a flat head screw driver through the hole and turn the adjuster to slacken the shoes off , the discs will come straight off then. Just adjust the handbrake back up when you fit the new discs on Cheers Ian |
Hi Ian,
ended up using a couple of 8mm bolts in the thread holes on the disc, tightened them up and they came straight off. whats the turn around for discs if I was to order them early tomorrow afternoon ?. Would I get them by Friday/Saturday ? Cheers |
All in stock for a next day delivery , sending friday for a saturday delivery are more expensive though.
You need to be carefull threading bolts into those holes to get the discs off , if it's the handbrake shoes holding them off , if you pull the discs off with two bolts will pull the handbrake shoes off causing damage Cheers Ian |
Ok. Latest I'll speak to you tomorrow for a Friday delivery if it was possible.
i managed to get them off no problem with the 2 bolts. The hubs etc seems fine so far fingers crossed. cheers Ian |
