Miltek exhaust and Billet roller bearing single scroll Blouch 18G-XT-R turbo
Hi guys,
I have some up upgrade items for sale, I was planning to fit these to my wide track but have decided to keep it standard. The parts are as follows: Brand new single scroll Blouch 18G-XT-R turbo £1400 Used Miltek 2.75in turbo back exhaust with sports cat £300 Used Sard 650cc injectors £120 (bought from Dubzy) All prices are plus postage and any PayPal fees. As advertised the turbo is brand new, unused in box (supposed to be similar to a Scooby clinic SC42 but with an larger exhaust housing (8cm)), although I bought it last year from America. The Miltek I bought from eBay, it looks good but I've not fitted or tested it. The injectors I bought from Dubzy on here, and were sold to me as working, again they have not been fitted so are not tested (I was going to have them cleaned and flow checked before fitting) Link to turbo info: http://www.bptstore.com/Subaru-WRXSTi-18G-XT-R-Turbocharger-_p_126.html I'll try to upload pictures tomorrow! Cheers, Chris. |
Forgot to mention, the turbo is standard fitment!

Sc42 is a 20g xtr with a 7cm hot side iirc
|
So a SC42 is a 20g with a 7cm housing rated at 420bhp and the one I'm selling is an 18g with a 8cm housing rated at 430bhp. I had conflicting opinions when I purchased this whether a SC42 was an 18g or 20g. However I went for the 18g, assuming better spool. Circuit Motorsport (who I bought it off in the states) said this was what they fitted to all their 2.0 cars and gave great spool, they did give an option of a 7cm housing, saying a British company had ordered some with the 7cm housing, but I decided to keep it standard Blouch on their recommendation.

No I don't think they are, but they look ok and the rubber hasn't gone hard. I haven't ever fitted them so can't comment if the seals are ok, they were sold to me as working though.

I'd say yours is more of a sc36/38 with a bigger housing. The 20gs are made from a Garrett gt30 core and fettled. |
Ah I see, the guy at Circuit Motorsport spoke to Blouch and they said if I went for the 7cm housing it would make 420 that's why I assumed it was basically a SC42.
|
Pretty sure I've told you before ;)

Yes you did, however there were conflicting opinions on other threads and I couldn't get a conclusive answer that's why I took the advice of Blouch/Circuit Motorsport.
They look very similar on the Blouch website: http://www.bptstore.com/Subaru-WRXSTi-18G-XT-R-Turbocharger-_p_126.html http://www.bptstore.com/Subaru-WRXSTi-20G-XT-R-Turbocharger-_p_122.html |
Correction we was both wrong on this one.
The correct one is the 1.5 Dom XT-R that is the sc42 but with different hotsides. Just double checked |
Lol. Well I'm not sure what it is then! It is supposedly a roller bearing 430bhp turbo that is quick spooling....
Addition: I thought the SC46 was the 1.5 Dom.... |
Sc46 seems to be the 2.5xtr Dom polka pickle as they call it lol.
Sc40 seems the 20gxt so I'm assuming the 18gxt is equivalent to a sc38 You made me look hard into it lol, I always thought the sc42 was the 20gxtr, I can now reset my vocabulary lol. |
Haha! It was a learning experience for both of us!
Still can't work it out! I was going off power outputs and what the Blouch/Circuit Motorsport guys were saying! |

No worries, let me know if/when you want them. Where can you get them for £240?

It's weird because Blouch do the 18GXTR in both 8cm and 10cm housing but rate them both at 430, and the Blouch/Circuit Motorsport guys in the states said if I went for a 7cm housing it would make 420? I thought the housing size affected spool and how wide the potential power/torque band was rather than outright power (within reason).
|
The plot thickens, apparently a SC38 is a journal bearing the 18GXTR is a roller bearing.....
|
i'll need to double check that they fit 2.5 fuel rails

No way would it make 420 if 430 is rated for 10cm. I'd take that as a pinch of salt. Don't forget what bpt sell are different to what sc sell, they are just different markets,

flip sake these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251961432433 had 15% off marked price yesterday - though the actual injector series is questionable going on his description |

That's the max they rate them at, say a 10cm. Like the link you posted earlier said 430 and that was a 10cm one.
