Greddy temp gauge gone past stop peg
Had a flat battery yesterday , been slowly getting worse so need a new onevetc but after trying to start the car on a flat battery the greddy temp gauge somehow has gone past it's stop peg and now obviously when powered on it won't register as the peg stops it going in the right direction .
Before I attempt to cut it open to manually move the needle any ideas why it happened ? https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...2d00f51357.jpg |
try powering it up so the needle is pressing against the peg and then turn it face down and shake it
if that doesnt work then the front cover is pressed on and crimped, you can bend the metal lip up all the way around with a small flat blade screwdriver then the cover comes off the front so you can then pull the needle over the stop peg |
Cheers bud , tried powering it on etc but wasn't working
I cut the base off around the rear of the gauge and removed the internal dial unit and swung the needle back to its normal position Weird tho !! |
