Anyone on here play? :freak3::lol1:

Decided to play again after 5yrs out, and before that it was much the same. I'm around it day in day out so decided why not, I'd be as well playing again. Plus the missus and kids enjoy going for a walk after work when I'm playing a few holes.

Good walk spoiled?.....maybe :Suspiciou

I rejoined the club where I'd been a member for 20 years (started playing in 1980) this time last year having given up 8 years ago, my handicap was 5 when I gave up lowest was 3. Always fancied getting back into it and thought that paying £100 a month subs would give me the incentive to play. I last played in October, having signed up for the year I've wasted £700 paying for the final 7 months without playing, just couldn't get back into it! :-( My mates are at St. Mellion this weekend, that's when I miss playing the most! :-(
So yeah, good walk spoilt

I dabble and enjoy a good round, but to be honest I'm normally so busy at work I've never bothered with a club membership and just pay as I play. Lots of nice courses round the North East. I find the key to enjoying it is not taking it too seriously and play with someone of a like mind.

Too much snobbery in joining clubs. And too many people almost too keen to get their round out the way and huffing and puffing behind you.Most people with all the kit aren't the best.

I'm not at all bad at it, but I'll stick to my cricket and the odd round at the municipal :) Unlike most sports, I think golfers are a bit miserable.lol
