Female Dr Who!

Is nothing sacred? We'll have Jemima Bond next, and she'll be black and lesbian too!

Blue by You 17 July 2017 11:01 AM

It's just a TV fantasy, do you really care?

Not really, but the political correctness behind the gender change certainly does. Whenever there's a figure of fun in a TV advert, it's always a man never a woman. It's an annoying trend, and perhaps soon there will be the 'token man' in otherwise all female programmes.

boggissimo 17 July 2017 11:57 AM

You're talking bollocks mate.

Doctors can be women too. In fact over 44% of doctors in the UK are female. So really having a female Dr Who is long overdue!

I'm not your mate and that's the response of a halfwit, but that's probably flattering you.

Go on then, I'll bite. What was it about my response that you think is half-witted?

joz8968 17 July 2017 01:04 PM

The Doctor is a fictional alien, FGS. :lol1:

Does it really matter (male OR female).

Your assertion that medical statistics somehow justify the gender change of a fictitious TV character pretty well sums it up.

I don't suppose you see the irony of your justification? As you said, Dr Who is a fictional character, so the writers can choose to make the character do/be/say whatever they want.

Feel free to write your own massively successful and long-lasting drama series. I'm sure you have a much better idea of what will work.

Sounds painful, but like they say... sex sells. :lol1:

I think it's a good idea personally... I'm sure it'll improve ratings... girl power... and all the nerds will have some fresh material to knock one out over. :lol1:

If an abortion was required, would it be called <in a Dalek voice> 'An Extermination'?

Dr Who is a time lord, time lady doesn't quite ring true :)

joz8968 17 July 2017 08:25 PM

Time Bitch lol

Impossible.

Daleks are female. Always a bad time of the month. Never seen a happy Dalek:thumb:

Paben 17 July 2017 10:01 PM

I don't think you guys are taking this seriously enough! 😂

lozgti1 17 July 2017 10:17 PM

I'm a bit concerned about the talk about a female James Bond. WTF!

Not watched Dr Who for a while(39 years, lol). Was sad to read they had to throw lesbians in. Err, why? When I was 10, scary aliens and lucky escapes etc was what it was all about. Not having correctness shoved down my throat ( I was actually a hide behind the sofa kid, mind you, that was the 70's)

Doctor Who is a bloke. Well,he was

Oh dear........for a start he's not a medical doctor, it's just an honorific.
He's a time LORD. This is the first we've heard of a time LADY.
We've met and heard of other time Lords.

One wonders what will happen if she chips her nail polish, ladders her tights, hasn't got her eye liner right, or is suffering from PMT......

JDM_Stig 18 July 2017 08:05 AM

Anything has to be better than Matt Smith again . . .

I didn't really mind him after the first few episodes.
Chris Eccleston was a good fit when he got the role.

PMT? I don't think so, just jump in the time machine and go forward a week :)

Can't wait to see how she handles a sonic screwdriver, jeez most women can't even put up a shelf ;)

Him and Ten inch have been awesome for the franchise.
