Mellow Yellow ! 19 May 2001 07:26 PM

Tell me boys, Chris convinced me that were I to allow him to sell his Harley that I could be persuaded into letting him part with over £30k for a P1, he assured me that it was the "bees knees" and needed nothing spending on it !
In the last few weeks he has purchased a new exhaust system, a filtering thingy, a new set of bigger wheels and tyres, new indicators and lights, a music system (coz he said it came brand new without one ! yea...yea...chris ), a new gear knob, overmats which go over the overmats and now he's booked it in for some brakes !!!
Now forgive me if I'm missing something here but surely (and I've put this to chris but received a sultry reply) a £30k "supercar" would come with all the above as standard....not according to my man...no...no...they are not good enough for the job ! " what job ", bl**dy hell he only goes down the motorway to work and back again.....doesn't he ? oh...a smiley face http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif coz he'll go spare when he sees this !

...next you will be telling us that his tent can be erected by a mere flick of the wrist (and perhaps a shake of the arm).

There are 1000 of them you need too make them look different http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif. Wasnt your original scoob yellow hence the logon "Mellow Yellow" so should as previous suggested have a new logon "Busted Blue" http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif. Chris you should have not facility to auto remember you password mate http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif. Just edit the first one delete it mate http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Mrs Mellow he is only trying to make his different to the other 1000 out there, stick by your man he has good taste and nows what he's doing (too scoobys anyway),the personal touch has to be done to keep us as individuals,and what's a few quid here and there, just make sure you get something as well.

Simple.

He's well and truly got the bug. You need to get him vaccinated http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

P1's a very cool car and If you don't already have kids, it will be OK for when you get them. Mine's intantly reconisable by the "Child on Board" sticker in the back window.

Where else will you get the combination of;

Verstility
Boot Space
Interior Space
Performance
Looks ??

Don't worry though, as he won't have much left to buy soon, and yes, they don't come with a stereo. (P1 owners are a discerning bunch and prefer to select their own sound equipment http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif )

Cheers
Kurt
