Which oil
 

Hi,

I'm currently using gulf competition 5 40. I wanna stick with gulf but my oil needs a top up so shall I stick with the 5 40 or go with a higher grade ?. My car has recently had a map and I'm running 290 now. Any grade recommendations ? Thanks

Personally i would swap it out for a 10-50 or 10-60, millers, fuchs or something of that quality.
If your not doing an oil change then top up with what you have in at the moment.
There will be a million and one other opinions on oils but this is whats always worked well for me.

I do think it's time to go up a grade because of the recent map. I do like the gulf though so may stick with it but I'll look into the others aswell.
