MacBook Pro and car charger ??
 

I have a MacBook Pro and would like to know if it would be possible to charge it (long car journey/ Grandchildren/ dvd etc) from the cigarette lighter socket in the car ? I assume some sort of adapter would be required ?

I can't tell you how difficult this was and eventually too expensive/ugly to bother with this ten years ago. I had the airline adaptor which was awesome but needed - don't quote me - 14'ish volts to work so somewhat worked when the engine was running.

Do you have one of these?

not personally but I know someone at work who used to use one, cant say much more than it worked for what they wanted
