Pics and thoughts people :)

bioforger 04 July 2017 04:47 PM

A stupid/pointless fad for brain dead morons (no offence). That's my opinion.

neil-h 04 July 2017 06:04 PM

Bit harsh, it's just a toy :lol1:

bioforger 04 July 2017 06:36 PM

Exactly, for children, ytf would an adult have any interest in that cack.

Funkii Munkii 04 July 2017 07:25 PM

They're a lot quieter that the last fad, bottle flipping !!

ZANY 04 July 2017 08:32 PM

no its supposed to be for kids with ADHD/Autism, it just so happens to have turned into fad causing problems for the kids that do need them during a school day

Dave Y 04 July 2017 10:25 PM

My eldest foster boy has ADHD these help him a lot.He was also into bottle flipping.
I know which I prefer him to do.

lozgti1 04 July 2017 10:40 PM

I know its for kids, but I see teenagers/adults using them, which is just very sad. Have they really got nothing else better in their lives to occupy their minds.

"Causing problems for kids" lol seriously, just take it away from them before they goto school or just ban them! (well they have started to be banned already, so at least someone has seen sense) Jesus. Same goes for smartphones, they shouldn't be allowed when they are at school, they are supposed to be there to educate themselves not to "fidget" or socialise and wonder what Sharon/Tracy are doing on snapchat. Our society is fecked

As for kids with "ADHD"/autism they already have special needs resources in place to help them, they don't need these stupid bloody things.

These do help them

bioforger 05 July 2017 12:14 PM

Its just a distraction. I can think of many things that would be more useful and helpful than a spinner. Its just a fad nothing more or less.

You're missing out, there's some wicked videos on YouTube demonstrating what happens if you over speed one.

That's passed me by.

Flipping a bottle of water/coke/whatever 360 degrees, to land it on the ground on its base. Another gay fad created by moronic teenagers with rice krispies for brains.

Rab555 05 July 2017 10:05 PM

As a lecturer in Engineering, we embraced 'their' fad and started 3D printing and machining some more adventurous ones.

Simple answer to that is no. We've had to limit screen time in our house as the daughters were physically attached to theirs and became unresponsive to anything outside of their screen. It's also scary how anxious they can get without their phone / ipad - frightened of missing 'something' on social media etc. etc.

As for the fidget-spinners, the youngest daughter bought one and they are just like a stress-ball really, except less stressful. :lol1:
