Rear number plate light

Hi, I have just bought a 2003 blobeye and have noticed that the number plate light has been on all night and won't go out no matter what I try. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing it and a solution?

JDM_Stig 25 June 2017 08:31 AM

AWG 25 June 2017 11:39 AM

As above, try that.

It's fair to assume.

Scrappydoo13 28 June 2017 11:53 PM

Yes it was!:lol1:

AWG 29 June 2017 07:41 AM

Brilliant! At least it wasn't an electrical problem.

Now can someone tell me, as a non noob why that poxy switch even exists!!

JDM_Stig 29 June 2017 08:23 AM

How else do you switch the parking lights on ?

AWG 29 June 2017 08:40 AM

And the point of parking lights...

when you park and there is insufficient lighting from the local street lighting, if any.

AWG 29 June 2017 09:11 AM

Useful to those dogging I guess but to the average driver completely pointless!

joz8968 29 June 2017 05:49 PM

Aren't they chiefly intended for when you park up, facing oncoming traffic - i.e. on the 'wrong' side of the road - after dusk?

bit like a chocolate fireguard if you have a alarm :thumb:
