Windows 10 Start up Images

When I log into my laptop Windows 10 offers a full screen image which changes every few days. Some of these are fantastic quality shots IMHO. So how could I capture one with a view to sending it to someone? Do all Windows 10 users get the same image as I get?

Thanks, David

This was one they sent recently and I think it's great. I did an image search for "Hedgehogs" and was lucky to find it that way.

I'm a reasonable photographer but I am a million miles away from the Windows stuff and that's expensive kit they will be using. But my boy has just spent a few grand on a camera so I like to send him some piccies to get his head around. david

Not ideal, but you can press the PrintScreen or Alt+PrintScreen button and that should copy it to the clipboard so you can paste into Paint etc to save. Downside is that it does have the text on it, rather than just being the pure image.

Agreed, the images they have are stunning.

This computer in France is running 8.1, the startup images on this are amazing. Each is a pathway, ranging from through a bluebell wood, to what looks like Shropshire at sunset.

Instead of trying to find them on your PC, do a search for

windows spotlight images :thumb:

You should find plenty to choose from.

Good stuff guys, great.

I currently have a dilapidated wooden structure somewhere in Spring, Colorado. Do you guys get this as well or is it more random. Window 10 on laptop here.

Most of these "Windows images" have been heavily manipulated in post process editing, and bear very little resemblance to the original photo.
Many have excellent subject matter and would look good without all this unnecessary editing. It just makes them look like a computer generated image (which is basically what they've now become).
Personally, I prefer photos to look natural.
