Adding Additional Spotlights?!...
Is this a nightmare job?
I need to add a couple of additional spotlights in my kitchen, as there is an area that I don't think is well lit enough. I'm thinking this is going to be a nigtmare job as the only access into the walls and ceiling will be via the existing spotlight holes, new spotlight holes and the on/off switch. Is there some clever method that can be utilised here, or is this simply a nightmare job that might require cutting holes into the ceiling? |
Depends on if you can get to the existing ceiling rose/junction box as you shouldn't really daisy chain off existing light fittings. If recessed, should be able to fish through cable using flexible rods ( Google cable quick super rods ). Insulation and joists can make it an arse.
Can cheat and use flex instead of T+E so long as it's decent grade. |
