Quick quiz - let's say 85k to spend..

hello all,

a little bit of fun..

So as per title a virtual 85k to spend, I was thinking.. RS6 to keep family happy too with 3.5 odd sec 0-60 or buy a family diesel and get some sort of GTR?

Or would you guys pick something else..???

Too boring, it doesn't sound like you have much imagination. I could buy all those below for the same price.

Evo 5
Nissan Pulsar Gtir
Impreza type r
Renault 5 GT turbo
Astra GTE 16v
Nova 2.0 turbo (track car)
Nissan Skyline
Nissan GTR

Or you could buy just over half of Jamie Oliver's VW bus that featured in his series. Can't get a link up but it's on the bay.

Me too and a few older ones too, Lotus cortina, Talbot Sunbeam, Capri of some description and definitely a couple of Lotus's original Elan and a Seven.

That's why my daily is a MK1 Golf, new cars are boring.. too good at what they do.

Edit to add, because I forgot the name... A Jenson Interceptor. :luvlove:

People with money can just walk into a showroom & buy a Bentley,Aston,Merc etc. This shows zero imagination & does not reflect any sense of individuality. It's just a badge that shows the others like you that you are a member of their club.

elgassi 20 June 2017 11:57 PM

buy a 22b, MK1 RS or Mexico, Lotus Cortina, Cossy and sit back and watch your money grow

jaygsi 20 June 2017 11:58 PM

Oh yes might even try and get a Escort cosworth in there too :thumb:

providing it didnt have to be my daily driver id probably go street legal 60/70s muscle/drag car again, with that budget you could probably hit 0-180mph in 5 seconds

Always wanted a E30 BMW M3 Evo

Problem I see here is the upkeep of them all, the cost and stress and hassle of running them all and keeping on top of servicing, tax, mot etc. I sometimes struggle just now with the 4 cars.

Nissan GTR
Ford Sierra Cosworth
Bmw M5 E39
Lotus Cortina, my uncle use to rally in one. Lovely car.
Ford Capri Tickford.
