If considering a 22b, is there anything I should be looking out for ?

What sort of money would you expect to pay for a 22B ?

Are they the ultimate Scoob ?

Any information at all would prove very useful.

Thanks

G :D

You could get an unbiased view from

No offense, and you will get decent info, but I would have thought you would get a better response to this one on bbs.22b.com. Best thing to do is search in their records.

There are several 22B owners there, who dont read this forum btu will gladly offer their advice/experience. I am not one of them.

Expect to pay from 28 to 38 depending on milage. Uk or Jap. there are few differences.

on the road in standard form, it isnt the ultimate, but when modified it has a few inimitable advantages, such as much wider track, and wider tyres.

Out of the box, the P1 probably is the best drive.

Define 'ultimate'. SJD's STI5 for sale in the private section is a better car. In fact comparing a standard 22B to any similar condition STI5 or 6 would see the 22B lose - it's older, heavier and slower.
However - I ain't swapping my 22B for any narrow-hipped scoob ;) , there's something about the car :D
5 for sale in autotrader today, £30k to £44k! errm if you wanna pay over £40k you can have my Type UK...I'll get me a nice import ;)

Thanks Chuck !! ;) I used to own SJDs so know a bit about that one. Just tempted by the "emotion" of what the 22B was / is.

Defining ultimate I guess is the impossible question...and I can't even define it in my eyes.

Couldn't remember the 22b address, so thanks for the posts.

actually chuck its lighter than most stis, just not the ras. But there isnt much in it as ras like scotts are not lighter anyway, they have all the heavy bits added back in so in their case it only refers to the 4 door body style having the drivetrain of the 2 door.

Well Adam you may be right, I only have autocar for reference and it puts the 22B in as a lardy 1302kg vs 1275kg for the STI4 and 1235kg for a uk turbo2000.
Glad to see it proved incorrect though!

Warning: the above is proof that 22B ownership may force you to sell your house :D
