Blob STI with an oil cooler and forged - 11mm or 12mm oil pump?

As title. I asked this ages ago but opinions differed. I've found someone selling uprated PRVs so a standard pump fitted with one of those is probably the way I'll go.

Engine is forged but doesn't have an oil cooler yet, but will do soon. Track use etc. Need to get on and do this now and stop pissing about. :thumb:

I have an 11mm oil pump with modded PRV which Paul Finch fitted when he built my forged 2.5, he considers it adequate so that's enough for me. A 19row Mocum oil cooler was fitted later, I don't have an oil pressure gauge but oil temp sensor, the issue is more with low oil temps than high, probably because I run a 71deg water stat. All spot on about town but cruising Duel/motorway and track oil/coolant temps are mid 70's.

I think 11 is perfect for my car as is with AVCS heads but it's when the cooler is added that makes me wonder whether 12mm is a better bet.

My other concern though is that a 12mm might flow too much for my engine and leave the sump short of oil at times?
