Jack, apple have been down this route before with Samsung. Their design patents were voided. Phone has two camera lenses in same corner. One phone has apple icon other one+. Only an idiot couldn't differentiate between the two.

JackClark 07 June 2017 07:47 PM

Just change the logo, no foul. I can't believe anyone would try to defend it really.

andy97 07 June 2017 08:02 PM

I'm not defending it. Your argument is pointless, like apple's court cases. It achieved nothing. Phones look like each other, cars, washing machines, microwave ovens. They are what they are.

dpb 07 June 2017 08:49 PM

probably actually gets a signal

There's no argument I'm laughing at how blatant it is.

lozgti1 07 June 2017 10:25 PM

Jack. You are a clever bloke and a half. But I just do not not understand why you care about apple, telephones that only appeal to my kids and companies producing the same stuff. I just do not understand.

Then again, I still have a filofax and am annoyed Carphone warehouse have run out of Nokia 3310 normal phones.lol

Who cares when every maker makes the same blooming telephone. lol

JackClark 08 June 2017 07:35 AM

Well it's pretty funny if nothing else.

Are you seriously suggesting that the one on the left looks nothing like the one on the right, seriously.

BlkKnight 08 June 2017 01:38 PM

Logo aside, they look identical.

However, it is the logo which makes them distinguishable - which is why the legal cases are bound to fail.

dpb 08 June 2017 02:31 PM

The buttons are in different places
...

JackClark 08 June 2017 02:33 PM

Ha! There's no legal case, it's more of a moral compass and a lot of you are failing.

dpb 08 June 2017 04:06 PM

Morally, how can apple charge double for the same tech

Same tech, hardly, the iPhone is full of Apple chips and software, none of which is in any other phone. I think you're thinking of Samsung and the others who all just pick bits off a shelf. Plus, remember when you walked into an Apple store... yup, that ****s not free.

dpb 08 June 2017 08:15 PM

I don't think I should been paying for a 'genius' to tell me couldnt find anything wrong with handset

only to be told by second 'genius' few months later that it was write off

lozgti1 08 June 2017 10:39 PM

I don't see how anyone is ahead of the game. Every phone on the market looks the same as does the same.

Maybe apple get upset if telephones look like theirs. Really don't think consumers care in all honesty

Fabioso 09 June 2017 12:04 AM

I really don't understand why some people are so loyal to one phone manufacturer. I think you should go with the phone of the moment that you like and suits your purpose the best whoever it is made by.............

My Samsung S8 plus dual SIM arrives today. 128gb onboard but can bump it up to 380gb if needs be. I'm going to run EE and O2 Sims,. I wanted a deep red but it's not available so decided on coral blue.

My LG V10 dual SIM must of known it's for the drawer. It updated to nougat yesterday. Trying out the new features, layout.

I gave the S7 edge dual SIM to the wife and she loves it over her note 4. Raving about battery life and the edge features. So I'm looking forward to using the S8. I got a rubber case with pull out stand so can watch video/films

dpb 09 June 2017 08:02 AM

Lordy , it's completely made of glass .

I don't think so thank you.

Wouldn't trust iris scanner either

So they update your phone the day you're putting it in the bin, not great is it.

Good on Samsung though, they do try to be different nowadays. You should really get something a bit bigger for watching films, even airplanes have bigger screens.

I'd trust an iris scanner, very accurate. Trusting Samsung to hack Android to use it, not so much.

Would they be the Apple chips they buy from Samsung?

There could well be some Samsung chips in an iPhone and there may well be some Apple chips made by Samsung in an iPhone. But Apple chips are only in Apple devices and by all accounts blow away anything else available.

dpb 09 June 2017 04:39 PM

Is this the company small uk company they've closed down, after all these years ?

Do you mean Imagination? Apple announced this year that they would be replacing the licensing arrangement with their own technology. Shares dropped in Imagination as they had all their eggs in one basket. I'm sure they'll survive, probably just a few people in an office putting cheques in the bank.

stevebt 09 June 2017 08:00 PM

But who wants a oneplus phone unless your very budget conciuos. I would rather buy a used quality phone than a oneplus phone.

andy97 09 June 2017 08:02 PM

My new Samsung, S8 plus duos, Wow just Wow :)
