Syvecs

Hi,
I bought my blue 54 plate blob eye October 2016

Off a guy on here, who used a well known subaru rally specialists garage ,called
Cotcomp at garstang near preston,
Before I bought the car I asked them if they could check the car over for.and I stated to check water oil as I said these have issues with.
As they where busy to look at it,i couldn't pick the car upnfor 3/4 or mite of been 5 day

After a few days of ownership ,I started to notice the water patches on floor, and realised it was over flowing. Bought a sniff test and water turned yellow/green colour,
HEADGASKET FAILURE.
wish I would of bought the sniff test first, then I could of tested the car before I bought it.
Anyway, I took it to scoobyclinic in December and still there,
I having a 2.1 stroker kit, with Syvecs fitted.
But basically want to no ,
will I notice any difference between the standard ecu and syvecs.
I mean does it rev better, spool quicker, traction better, does it make the car sound better.
At moment am not having no Anti-lag and launch control switched on..

Anyway ,sorry for telling my sabarus life story.
Hope someone can answer
Thanks for reading
Daz

How much you pay for 2.1 strokes mate :norty:

not sure now,must of been around £5000- £6000 .

Syvecs is a step up on the stock ecu, more adjustable when being mapped, more features than the stock ecu, true mafless running etc etc

only difference you'll prob notice day to day is it cranks over a few times to check sensors before it fires. But should find it gets more power than on a stock ecu.

Not sure if you're being serious, but when I spent the thick of £1500 on an ecu I made sure I knew exactly why I was buying it not simply for the fact I was told I needed it....

Basically ive spent best part of nearly £18,000, on blisteins, engine bay being painted, engine rebuild, rcm sump, injectors, exhaust, fuel pump, fuel lines, new turbo.and wanted syvecs but with all the extras but cooling off spending,so wanted to no somebody who's got syvecs without the extras to see what it's like compared with the standard ecu.
That's all.

Its in a different ballpark compared to the standard ecu, the extras come as standard without any extra cost. If Pat is mapping your car then you're in good hands

I take it pat at scoobyclinic is good mapper.I carnt wait to get it back.
I've heard good things about syvecs, but never experienced a car with it.
I hope its better, more bhp, spool better etc.

"Pat at scoobyclinic is a good mapper" fella he is one of the best in the business but again its something you should research prior to spending your benjamins. You're on a bigger engine so yes it will spool quicker regardless of ecu, syvecs allows finer tuning of ignition and timing maps so should pick up some power/torque.

The safety aspect of the syvecs where you can add in engine trips for low oil pressure, high water temp, low fuel pressure etc etc and data logging is where it comes into its own.
