MOT in Scottish Borders?

Would really appreciate a recommendation. My STi Wagon (situated near Kelso) needs an MOT and I'd like to find somewhere relatively close by to do it. The car shouldn't need anything but it would be handy if the place could sort something if needed.

I know it is a simple request but I have had so many frustrations with negligent garages over the years I thought I'd ask here.

is there anywhere that only does MOT tests, I find these more honest then garages who can "help you" if it fails . . .

Why not Croall Bryson or Lloyds Landrover? They sell second hand cars and lots of Subaru's down your way, so they will be used to getting parts.

If it was me I'd be driving up to AF Noble in Penicuik.

Thanks for the reply! Have you first hand experience of the either of the first two?

I am aware of Nobles but would prefer something closer and can't help but feel a franchised dealer will be more "rigorous" shall we say when it comes to things like emissions? The car has a sports cat but I've not had it MOT'd before so not sure how easily it would pass.

Croall Bryson was always good but we had a Land Rover.
