Selling my 1999 Sti type R V Ltd - What's it worth?

Hi all.

I have decided to sell my Sti type r v ltd in sonic blue.

I have owned the car since July 2004 so for thirteen years.

The current mileage is - 130299

The good -

At 91360 miles I had a new engine fitted which included - SS Cometic gaskets, Wiseco forged pistons, Eagle steel rods, ACL race bearings, Nitrided crank, and uprated oil pump.

Blitz Nur spec exhaust (with removable bung to make it louder!)

Lightweight pulleys

Fidanza lightened flywheel

HKS boost controller

17" Volk Racing Rays (about £500 each if I remember correct) with Yokohama Paradas all round (new on rear)

Recent front discs and pads to match rear with grooved, cross drilled discs.

Brake cylinder stopper

Cobra Alarm

Roof vent

The Bad

The rear arches need sorting as they are rusting (common on classics) and there are a couple of rust patches elsewhere so really needs a re-spray

The wheels could also do with a refurb.

I am really unsure at what price to sell this for so any assistance is really appreciated :thumb:

Depends how bad that rust is bud. If it's heavy rust underneath then might be only fit for breaking or restoring?

Yes unfortunately if its looking like that on the outside the underneath / inner sills will be worse I think. However sent you a PM anyway as could be interested :)

Best post pictures up might get a few offers.

Not much, I'll give you £150;) Worth a try:D

Looks a lovely car shame about the rust, have you got a price to get it sorted??the prices of classics have gone crazy and on the up, and your car got to be worth £10k with the rust sorted, but with the way it is probably worth £5-6k.

£1000 + paint for the work on the arches using OE panels - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-...0AAOSwXYtY06k3
The sub frame maybe shot, more money, the car is likely to be a money pit. The issues could have been addressed earlier and not neglected.

I'd say it all depends how bad that rust is. If its chassis then 4-5k, but if its not and just odd bits of rust be worth getting jobs done or selling it for 5k-6k at a push.

I doubt youre gonna get 4k for it tbh, theres a good chance its took the inner arches aswell, which means its gonna need quarter panels off, adressing the inners first, then new quarters fitting along with prep and paint, thats gonna cost a few quid, then theres the other rust youve mentioned, essentially its what its worth as a breaker.

That said ill swap ya for a 2013 hondacrf 250, 1k miles from new
