Andy97 - you have the best solution, and you are managing it well (can't say every joe soap/dizzy bimbo will be as conscientious) - in that you are striving to use battery wherever possible, but have the petrol engine as backup for those rare long journeys - which is what the Leaf sorely lacks - its its limited range which is the killer - your Volvo fixes that problem with careful management - at the current technology IMHO it's the best balance of usability and low emissions :thumb:

Not particularly :lol1: I've not seen even the vaguest suggestion that anyone in this thread holds that belief.

That aside however, domestic micro generation and energy storage would do a lot to counter any of the load issues associated with increased uptake of EV's.
