What should I be looking for in an oil cooler kit?

I'd like to get one on my Newage STI track car but there seems to be a few different features between the various ones available.

I'll probably buy something at the cheaper end of the market unless there's a valid reason not to, but what sort of thing should I be looking for? Oil filter relocation?

Ask why its cheap as a starting point.

Needs to be thermostatically controlled and decent lines,

Run the car with a modine first, you may not need one tbh, a modine is sufficient enough on some big builds, are cars seem to be different.
Use good oil, regularly change and I don't think you might need one tbh, later you can decide if you need one.

You say that, but some of the cheap stuff, intercoolers and such, aren't actually bad kit. Sometimes the question is "why's it so expensive?!" ;)

That one you've linked to though does look decent and I don't think the cost is unreasonable :thumb:

Well I've got gauges now so I will likely use it on track before making a purchase and see what's happening. I'm very much "better safe than sorry" minded though.

Problem is so many crap and cheap that its rare to find decent and cheap.

I'm not running one yet, I'm going to see what it's like on track for long periods before I decide, deffo shouldn't need one on sprints etc.

I'm thinking about fitting one on my hatchback (road car) as it seems to run a lot hotter than all my other Subarus do ,

will go for a mocal set up soon as time and money allows
