Smoking Brakes
 

Hi,

Help needed!!!!

On my 04 WRX I started to get a bad burning smell and smoke coming from the ns front wheel after a run. On inspection, the previous owner had painted the calipers and got paint on the piston. Thus it was sticking on!!

After replacing the Caliper, pads & disc, I am still getting the same problem.

Any thoughts?

If you have already changed the brake caliper then all signs are pointing towards a collapsed brake flexi hose.

It seems that it is the ABS pump!!!!

If I buy a second hand unit, is it just a straight swap over or do I need any electronic jiggery pokery?
