That's the new church of today, worshipping at the altar of Apple. Like church, you have to buy into the whole system.

I wouldn't mind being given one, just a shame Samsung won't quit borking Android.

eh? if anything touchwiz is one of the most bloatfree distros on any android and their own "tweaks" just work. Doesn't bother me either way as all my phones get nova prime applied.

andy97 29 April 2017 07:06 AM

Nova launcher :thumb:

My last 2 phones I've imported from HK. All dual Sim, less bloatware, a bit cheaper with for more capability.

Lg V10 dual sim
Samsung S7 Edge dual sim

And now when it becomes available Samsung S8 plus dual sim

Is that you Mr Spicer? Shaun, you need to quit the alternative facts.

andy97 29 April 2017 10:54 AM

Jack you can choose not to install any of Samsung's own app on setting up, or disable them, you can use Nova which strips down the interface to almost Google's settings.

Also the S7 Edge I got from HK, there is much less additional apps than a UK Samsung phone, My LG V10 is pretty bare of unwanted apps.

JackClark 29 April 2017 12:11 PM

I know they're better, but they're still pretty bad. It's cool that you can use a tool to remove whatever they've 'tweaked' but a shame you have to.

This is pretty cool, kickstarter so I'm out but I need something similar this year.

bioforger 29 April 2017 05:19 PM

Nothing wrong at all with touchwiz imo, i only use Nova because it offers more customisability/gesture control etc and a bit more speed over stock. Why is it a shame? it literally takes minutes to install and setup, or you can revert back to TW with a click of an icon, the choice is yours.

JackClark 29 April 2017 08:09 PM

It's a shame because a fair chunk of your purchase price goes on development of something pretty much everyone doesn't need.

A bit like Apple giving away U2 Albums.

DoZZa 29 April 2017 08:38 PM

Nexus 6P

Something you don't need... oh yea a phone without an OS is going to work really well :cuckoo:

What's wrong with stock Android? Then the bare minimum to account for hardware. As you've said they're backing off on the garbage they install, sometimes flat out Malware, surely that would suit you too. It's odd you jump to its defense yet take time to remove it as would I.

Anyhow I'm out of toy money so mine will have to last.

bioforger 30 April 2017 02:24 AM

Nothing. You don't remove anything and sometimes i switch back to TW. Again i have that choice.

JackClark 30 April 2017 11:05 AM

OK Disable you pedant.

bioforger 30 April 2017 01:33 PM

lol you obviously have no idea how a launcher works, TW is not disabled either.

dpb 30 April 2017 04:22 PM

But it is adequate and acceptable with TW, a good launcher is better.

Do hope we all grow up soon and stop getting excited about telephones.
