Advice on which upgrade route to take

Hi Guys.

Recently picked up a 2005 Widetrack STi with 24k on the clock and would like to upgrade the power past the PPP that's currently on it.

Don't really want to go down a rebuild route so was after some advice on turbo/injector upgrades maybe?

Car currently has a PPP installed and I've just put a Scoobyworld Afterburner Vortex cat back system on.

Not looking for massive numbers. Around 370-380 bhp with similar torque.

I see many turbos discussed on here but there are so many choices and places to go to get the work done.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

sc38 or 20g turbo should get you around those numbers. injectors should just about manage that as well. top mount intercooler should cope fine to around 400 so its reckoned. so turbo and remap and maybe a 255 walbro fuel pump for safety. the engine is supposed to be good for 450 bhp in standard form so should be well within its limits.

My old sc38 ran 370 on my standard newage sti engine but had to upgrade the injectors as they was maxed out at 350 odd

Thanks guys.

Much appreciated.

I'm assuming most of the main tuners will supply and fit the parts?

Any preferred companies?

I've always used scoobyclinic. You might get away with a fuel pressure regulator and keep your standard injectors but they will be able to confirm. I learnt the long way after having a map maxing out the pinks at 350 odd on a sc38. Had id1000 injectors fitted and mapped again.

MattyMB has just posted an SC42 for sale in the breakers section if you want a little bit more :norty:
