ECU swap problems

Hi, i am planning to return my 2005 Impreza WRX back to standard, it has fitted a vf35 turbo, pink injectors, remapped ecu ect. all the original wrx parts are in a box in the loft. I figured the easiest and cheapest way would be to swap the ecu. After contacting a breaker on ebay and explaining what i needed they sent me a ecu, key and immobiliser module.

I fitted the ecu and immobiliser module and swapped the chip inside the key and put it in my own key, the car turns over but does not start.
This is my origional ecu

After some searching i found a list of ecu's for different models, it would appear they have sent me an 03/04 ecu, would this be the problem or am i missing another part to make the ecu and immobiliser work together?

Would have thought id be easier and cheaper to get a mapper to flash a standard file back on.

You would of thought so, when i took the car in for a service at a local specialist, the same place it was remapped and asked about it, they didn't want to know :(
