I have leather seats in mine but a different colour. I recall Mog also had leather in his blue Spec C-based T25.
|
I like the look of those. Does anyone know where Iain got them done?
Are the door cards trimmed in leather as well? |
Door cards and rears etc all leather. Not to everybodies taste. Didn't like them at 1st myself...... growing on me like a wart.
|
The seats were done by Terry Reynolds at Concept Vehicle Interiors, Wickford Essex. 07703328611. That was 12 years ago of course, but they were competitively priced.

Thanks, that's not far from me, I'll get in touch.
It's beginning to feel like dealing with a classic car - Turbo Dynamics referred me to Litchfield to get the turbo serviced, who referred me back to TD, saying they don't do Subaru's any more. I still had to go through Litchfield, who sent it to TD; then they sent it back to Tewkesbury after the work was done before shipping it back to me. God help me if I need a new Milltek exhaust. |

Does anyone know if Jenny Litchfield kept the list of what Type-25s are still in existence? people were asking Iain for t20 and t25 badges on a regular basis.:Suspiciou so a rough idea 2005 uk=£7k std JDM=£10k T20=£14k and T25=£18k. it doesnt take long to workout why peeps want a badge. tony. It has a rear wiper and is not a spec C, water bottles under the bonnet I have the original receipt from litchfield for the car wirh a mk1 2.5 and for the mk2 rebuilt in 2012, American spec 2.5 block. on the V5 form what dates does it say on 4B first registered and 4B1 first registered in uk? theres a few fakes out there. servce history is key. T25 99/100 it will have it. imho tony |

T25 no34 :thumb: Not that I'm objecting of course :) Also, engine number won't help identify a genuine T25. On my V5 it's listed as "EJ25" and is 1998cc :Whatever_ |

does the paperwork from iain match completely engine number with the chassis plate?

All the numbers etc match up. |
I remember seeing some Mk2 T25's go for around £20k past couple of years.
Don't know how realistic that is now...I'd be interested to know....considering/almost having to sell my hawkeye Aline T25.....any thoughts? |

£18k for a T25? Haven't seen them at that sort of money for a decade or so. Many will have paid less than half of that for theirs.

Sorry something seems a bit odd but that doesn't make it wrong. 1) No. 14 seems too low a number being a widebody on a 54plate. it would be registered after 1st Sept 2014. Mine is No 34 registered 7th December. 20x T25's later 2) it also doesn't look to have AST suspension 3) that 2.5sti badge!!! 4) Does it have the oval inside badge and boot badge? Many JDMs STi's even T20's & even UK's had T25 engines or suspension or both later in life . This was done by POWERSTATION But doesn't make them a LITCHFIELD T25. . I'm booked into LITCHFIELD's Friday 7th & 21st I can ask him or Jenny . 👍 Regards Tony |
Hi
It has got the AST4100 suspension. Plaque under the bonnet with no14 Oval plaque in front of the gearstick with no14. Litchfield badge on the boot Type25 also on the boot. Numerous litchfield original booklets and receipts, 1 of which give a run down of parts in the engine. Litchfield rebuilt the engine again in 2012 with the LM500 turbo etc. If you can find out any additionalinfo that would be great. As.above, VX54OMG was the original registration. |
👍 as said provenance is key.
Looking at your GDB-23455667 number above the Model code GDB4XXX4X it's about 1,000 before mine. So must be one of the very first widebody versions. does look like AST knobs. I've had on both my T20 or T25. But maybe earlier versions!! |
Not sure how much you can rely on the build numbers. Mine was registered on 5th March 2005 and is build no. 27, so I have no idea why yours is no. 34 and registered three months earlier.
Also, at least one older car was converted by Iain as a T-25, so date of first registration isn't a foolproof method of verification either. From the documentation of this car I've seen it does look genuine, though I thought the VX54OMG car was owned by a member of the nobility and later had the Cosworth motor fitted. Mine never had the T25 badge on the boot. |

Next question guys, anybody know what ECU would be on my car.
Hopefully a Ecutek because of the converted 2.5. I think the original was a EasyEcu, with is not a drive by wire and unlike the Ecutek, is not compatible with racerom for auto blip , LC and antilag. |
I am interested in what boost pressure the mark 1 T25 were originally set up to run, my one peaks at 1.26bar. Thanks in advance for any replies.

When Iain Litchfield Mapped the JDM's, he did two corrections. JDM & UK Dash aren't compatible. UK used OBD and JDM was SSM Protocols 1)if original JDM had low speed Dash 0-180kmph he blanked the K over to show MPH. 2) if original JDM dash high speed 300KPH then he must have purchase 0-180kmph cover then again blanked of the K 3) Mapped ECU clocks pulse speed output. 4) Mapped ECU the DCCD speed correction Tony |

Mine definitely has black plastic square over the "K" of the Kmph. When light shine through It looks like mph but indicated speed wrong. . Tony |

Hi ,
yes mate that is the one up for sale . exactly like mine , with less power. suspension is now Tien , far better than the ast in my opion, as its more adjustable . more power , front mount intercooler, etc. and large alacon front brakes . think its top money though but would be chuffed to that sort of monies for mine when I sell lol. |
The issue is sometimes people try to create "history l" or "provenance" on this site for a non genuine T25 for financial gain.
Tony |
Yes, I've seen a few fake T-25s. But that raises the question of when a T-25 is a T-25. Does it have to be as it left Litchfield's? I guess it must have a build number, but when the car is substantially changed is it still a T-25?
