GT3071 or GT3076
 

Looking for opinions on the two turbos above really.
I am unsure whether to go for a GT3071 gen 2 or GT3076 gen 2, the turbo would be fitted to a 2.1 forged 2004 sti engine and fitted in a front mount position. Which would be better suited? I think the 71 would be best but just wondering what others think.

that may depend on your power goals 3071 is a 400- 440 turbo and a 3076 is around 500 at 2 bar- billet versions could make a bit more-lots of different designs and hybrids about though.

Cheers, I'd be looking a complete unit from Garrett which is the latest gen 2.
I would be looking for around 450bhp so sounds like a 76 would be the way to go.

not teaching you to suck eggs but- headers and uppipe and general setup can make a big difference to the drivabillity of ypur car- all of the bigger turbos can feel like real lag monsters- i would say a decent billet wheeled 71 would make 450 all day long.
