Clock ring care on steering wheel install

Hi, I need some advice; I'm changing my steering wheel, and the only thing that I'm not clear on in the various guides is how to protect the clock spring from damage.
Can it be taped in place? Does it spin out of place really easily? Can it be marked to line up? Thanks

Never had a problem, although leave the nut on a couple of threads whilst breaking stiction- saves hitting yourself in the face. :thumb:

If you're replacing the airbag take care when pulling the clips out of the old cable. They're very fragile, and if you break it and don't have a replacement then you'll have a airbag warning light.
