Xxr 530 18/ 8.75 .......... ET33 ??
Gonna be in the market for a set of new wheels soon and I'm wondering about the above, I no 18 x 8.75 will require a arch roll I'm just wondering about the et33 ??
also what tyres are suited I don't want lots of stretch but I guess I need it to fit in the arch so been told 225 40 18 should be just about ok ? For some reason xxr are not making the 530 in et35 anymore from what I can see as there no where to be found... Anyone able to comment on the et33 bit would be great :thumb: |
My cousin only bought a set last week in 8.75 et35 his fitted 235-40-18 without rolling his arches and they catch like fook

Bump... anyone have any experience on et33

Looking at the Japshop website it does seem to show the ET is now 33 rather than 35. Japshop are the main UK importer of these wheels so I would expect their site to be correct.
ET33 will push the wheel another 2mm further out from the ET35 wheels. I should think another 2mm would be possible with arch rolling personally. Both my cars could still easily tuck the wheels under the arches with 225 tyres after arch rolling and still looking standard (not arch stretched crazy). |
I'm on 9jet35 and no rubbing at all with 225 40 18, any bigger tyre tho and mine would rub for sure

I'm just wondering what tyres would suit it best |

225 40 18 on my 9" rim is hardly stretched so on 8.75 should b fine |
Yep, 225 tyres all the way. I've used them for years on 8.75" wheels now with no issues. JUST on the right side of the legal requirements for tyre stretching. Pass MOT every year.
