Very pointy looks sharp should have a safety nib at the front :)

its called bloodhound ssc, attempting to beat the land speed record and achieve 1000mph next year

Met Richard noble last year. Lovely bloke.

This things got an f1 engine just to run the fuel pump! Looking forward to seeing how it gets on.

they have since replaced that engine with a jaguar supercharged V8...still ridiculous for a fuel pump

What an incredibly cool thing to have in at your work. I've watched some of the videos which cover bits of the engineering that have gone into the Bloodhound. The work on the wheels alone is just incredible.

it's been very surreal turning up to see that sitting in the workshop, we did suggest they could leave it here a bit longer, they weren't convinced lol.

Talking of "wouldn't be seen dead in" I saw a Focus (must have been one of Fords 'special editions') the other day with a "Thrifty" decal on the back. WTF!
