Storm Doris...
...Wreaks havoc on the East Coast Main Line.
Mrs Alcazar went to London for her work today...or rather, she didn't.:brickwall Her train from Doncaster was cancelled, she caught a MUCH later train, but ended up held outside Peterborough station, no trains running south of there. Their train sat for ages, before being allowed in, she's now on another on her way back, having missed an appointment at Government offices. This country, eh? Not even much of a storm, by world standards, but the UK grinds to a halt, yet again. What are we like? Oh...and it's hit a hundred miles further south than the MetOffice predicted. What are THEY like? :lol1::lol1::lol1: Mind, I did see an amusing Facebook post: Due to bad weather in the UK today, southerners are advised not to travel. Northeners: you might need your big coat. LOL :D |
Would got out on the small board ( windsurfing ) yesterday, but as nearly always when it blows iv a rush job on.:(
We did have a few pin sized snow particles in the air here, couple weeks back. ( sarf coast) |
Next doors 7ft fence panels flew off this morning :lol1::lol1::lol1:
Just spent an hour with him putting them back |
This country is an embarrassing joke! High winds my arse!

hedge cutting ?
nice pic ! |
Mending the track, getting that cottage ready for holiday rental. We had a 3 section ladder at the front next to the wall, which moved 3m whilst lying flat on the ground! It was hard to stand up at times

Today my uncle towed his caravan to Gloucester!
I've called him a crazy fool :cuckoo: |
Not Doctor Foster?
BTW: Already seen three pics on FB of lorries driving straight past the signs which are lit up, saying, "Humber Bridge closed to high sided vehicles"....and onto the bridge. Were Dumberside Police there to meet 'em with a fine? You bet not.......... |

A dread to think what mpg he gets towing it.
A camping trip with that thing including site fees and petrol would probably pay for an all inclusive week in Goa :lol1: |
