wrx300scooby 05 February 2017 11:37 PM

17 years, not much of a post count though is it:(

Only kidding, :luxhello:

Do you plan on being here much longer? Only asking because things are changing for the worst in my opinion.

alcazar 06 February 2017 10:56 AM

Not been the same since the end of the classics, the loss of so many knowledgable members...and the deaded IB takeover........

We have gone from stick on tat to errrr, hmmm stick on tat.

The only difference is the tattoo's have progressed from forearms to necks, but the spelling as not improved.

You're deliberately fishing for replies now (ignores the grammar 'mistake'). ;)

The Trooper 1815 06 February 2017 06:54 PM

Know I ham knot!

Brun 06 February 2017 07:52 PM

Not point leaving. Still some amusing characters around :)

Skoobie Dhu 06 February 2017 08:03 PM

18 years this year since I joined (changed username since) when I bought my V3 - still got it 55k miles, garaged since 2006, and still got the broquets 😄 Possibly back on the road for sunny days this year.

Still like scoobynet for the mix of opinions, good social barometer of folk who can at least string a sentence together using real words and some grammar.

Good old David lock, done by the advertising standards agency again....

How many times is that now?

Steve Whitehorn 06 February 2017 08:18 PM

I think SN lost some user names or start dates after I joined in some IT glitch or whatever ...I vaguely seem to remember. I think in 2001.

I must say they have all come and gone over the years

ronjeramy 07 February 2017 12:38 PM

I'm into my 17th year here too and a couple of different user names, the earliest one dates back to 2001 I think, though I've not logged it on in a while.

I think Facebook has also helped with scoobynet's demise, where people are using local groups as well as some of the bigger ones

XRS 08 February 2017 08:54 AM

17 years for me too. Only two Scoobs in that time. Much quieter these days in here.

salsa-king 08 February 2017 10:16 AM

I'm only on my 2nd scoob in 17yrs too.
first I had 4.5yrs a MY97 uk turbo
1999 to 2004

Then
A 58 plated STi 330s MY08 Hatch register at the end of Jan 2009, I bought end of Jan 2011 to present day .. So 6yrs as if last month... And that time's has flown by.... Two kids later as well.

Bought a 52plate SF5 Forester Sport last June with only 38500 miles on it.

:)

TimH 08 February 2017 01:39 PM

Over 18 years for me :)

Pathetic post count though :lol1:

CREWJ 08 February 2017 04:22 PM

I've not quite been on here that long :lol1:

I've seen the crowd change quite a bit though.

ronjeramy 08 February 2017 08:52 PM

On my 4th scooby, had 18months away with a Celica GT4

cookstar 08 February 2017 11:40 PM

Post count needs work.

banny sti 09 February 2017 02:38 PM

13th year for me, makes me feel old when I'm just hitting my prime :D

Wurzel 09 February 2017 04:15 PM

17 years for me too and still on my first Scooby, purchased in June 2000 and used every day rain or shine, however it is a bit of a Triggers Broom now though :D

g7prs 10 February 2017 12:01 AM

Almost 12 years for me. On numbers 2 and 4 had the 555 for ten years this year.

wilkoca 10 February 2017 01:20 PM

Moved on a couple of years ago - seems that most forums are dying these days - used to live on Surrey Scoobies thats now migrated to FB.

On-the-bog 10 February 2017 01:28 PM

13 for me :o Although went without for a while

Just the way it is at the min, people tend to remember whats said on forums, facebook is just post your rubbish and even if your a totaly bell end its all forgotten the next day. Amount of crap advice i have seen on there is unreal, especially dodgy wannabe tuners poping up.

Very few of the decent tuners/car owners hang around on forums now. 22B still has the highest level of tech knowledge but even on there some of the well respected mappers/tuners don't bother any more.

Gear Head 10 February 2017 06:38 PM

Think I'm on 13 years now. And nearly on Impreza number 6!

TonyBurns 11 February 2017 09:26 AM

Salsa is just showing his age :lol1:

mickywrx 11 February 2017 07:19 PM

Post to see when I joined SN, and remind me how long I've had my car. :lol1:
