It's light a light switch being turned off, the power goes from her within seconds.

I surprised her with a walk last night so she didn't get chance to get worked up and I made it a lot further before she wobbled. I sat her down and let her recover and then walked her back. She didn't go far, but she didn't collapse, so this has the potential to be managed.

At 2pm today Tara stopped breathing whilst undergoing tests. They tried their best but unfortunately she died.

So sad to hear that,
I don't care what anyone says but it really is like loosing a brother or sister, certainly that was what I felt like when I lost my retriever.
Hope you and your family manage through this difficult time quickly.

:(

Keep thinking I'm ok, then I look for her and it smacks me again

Chin up mate.
Just remember the pleasure she brought you.
At least shes not suffering anymore.
Maybe a little memorial in a corner of the garden to remember her by.

Wish I believed in all that mate.. Truly I do.

New dog is driving me nuts eating my walls and not wanting to be trained.
Keeping my mind focused
