Replacement Classic Rear Arches - Outers/Inners and Sills

I thought this might be of interest to the enthusiasts here.

The rear arch replacements sold on Ebay tend to be wafer thin. Which is OK if you are a chav that wants to botch something.

My friend has sourced replacement arches and sills which are the same thickness as the originals. So if any of you are thinking of doing a proper repair job/restoration job on a classic let me know and I will put you in touch with him.

Cheers
Steve

I'm interested. Need some for mine. I found a company in the US that did them was going to arrange a group buy but shipping was insanely high.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but does anyone make replacement arches for new age models as mine are rotten.

We don't want all the chavs restoring their chav chariots, the market will be flooded with pristine Imprezas driving prices down. Can someone delete this thread ASAP before it's too late.

Nothing. Cynical Micky money grabber.

I am old school.

If a few classics get repaired properly and my buddy sells a few arches all good.

jaygsi 22 January 2017 05:10 PM

How much are they?

To be honest, I am not sure Jay. I know he said they are more expensive than the current ebay offerings.

gary77 22 January 2017 06:12 PM

Steve Whitehorn 23 January 2017 11:07 AM

You know me so well. :luvlove: ;)

FWIW, I got some Ebay ones about 18 months ago, and the bloke doing the work for me commented on how thick the steel was on the replacements.
