dam it ! another gauge...
hello chaps had a real bad start this morning, managed to throw a drink over my radio and take that out and my turbo sensor to , ive removed the sensor (prosport) stepper joby , yep soaking wet , how the water got to there I don't know. do I try drying it? bin it? I have it on radiator lol with a spray of wd40 on connector pins. also with the sensor removed the gauge is still erratic, could the guage be shorted as well ? its coming on but having trouble. whats the odds on it working again? as for radio I think that may be fuse on rear ? front face lights up but that's the lot.

Remove and dry thoroughly, airing cupboard, wrapped in a towel on top of a rad etc.
Then do a rest on the radio, check the unit's fuse and try again. If it's not working after that....buy new:( |
thanks alcazar yep u were rite reset button on radio seemed to clear problem ! thanks. and sensor I will try later this eve its been on radiator all day so ..... have to see if evaporation has occurred , fingers crossed !

ok so after 24 hours on radiator its dried out , results look promising , reconnected sensor and boost air feed turned gauges on and needle sat at 0 with no compression nice and steady no erratic movement. id of turned engine over but was told not to as lad was in bed lol. so to round off , yep it seems to work ! ............ so far.

LOL, I did similar for my youngest's phone when he dropped it in his pint...don't ask.
It worked perfectly once dry:rolleyes: |
If you get any electrical components/phones/ipod/ipad wet, place it in a zip lock bag with some rice. The tiny Chinese people in the rice will dry out the moisture and absorb it. http://thememesfactory.com/wp-conten...7076059_n1.jpg
