Yeah they do, Samsung, Google, Apple, all of them look like an iPhone. :thumb:

dpb 09 January 2017 09:54 AM

Ericsson , again , came up first with touchscreen smartphone

followed by lg , with apple , as ever, fooling the world that theyd reinvented the wheel

JackClark 09 January 2017 10:03 AM

Come on. A leaked photo of an LG came out a few days before the iPhone was shown working on stage. If you believe Apple went from a leaked photo to a working iPhone in that time then you're either a god botherer or a fool.

It is amazing that from the very first iPhone through to today's newest iPhone 7 Plus, it has remained the gold standard by which all other smartphones are judged.

Like it or not, the iPhone was the first commercially succesful touchscreen phone. Who came up with the idea is academic if the idea doesn't sell.

Hardware is only half the story as we know well now. Erricson make some great hardware, but they didn't have decades of experience in software that could bring a desktop experience to mobile.

Poor ole Steve , what would he have made of it all now !

He'd love it. Apple Watch is a roaring success and only getting better, Apple have built a Spaceship in California, the iPhone is still the gold standard, 75% of software developers use Apple computers and rising, the iPad has no competitors, their mobile chip is considered so far advanced it's unlikely anyone will ever compete and people still talk about him, not bad.

I think that crown belongs to Samsung S7, it pretty much trumps the iPhone overall in most if not all the reviews including the newer iPhone 7.

You have to be ****ting me. The Pixel is a close runner on the camera, that's it.

jonc 09 January 2017 04:39 PM

Just go and check the reviews from all the tech journalists and professionals who review theses products for a living, you'll find most are in Samsung S7's favour.

It's over a year old, all the reviews were done before the 7 came out. It's a fine device don't get me wrong, but it's old and even when it was new the 6+ out performed it.

dpb 09 January 2017 06:01 PM

if you were to fall for the apple machine , youd go for the 6s + !!

7 sounds bit of a dud

JackClark 09 January 2017 06:51 PM

The processor in the 7 is twice as fast, it'll last years more than the 6s, but if you want to save a few quid now and spend more later then yes, the 6s would be a fine device.

I know it's over a year old, which makes it even more amazing that the Galaxy S7 can still trump the iPhone 7 as well as Apple's previous offering. Like you said its a year old and it says a lot when an old device can still beat Apple's latest offering.

Below summerises a few reviews where the S7 is pitted against the new iPhone 7.

There are plenty more if you can bear to bring yourself to Google it. :thumb:

Let's see how the iPhone 8 will turn out. I was going to upgrade my iPhone 6 to a 7, but the 7 is pretty disappointing. But the Galaxy S8 looks to be shaping up quite nicely too.

JackClark 09 January 2017 09:09 PM

You're not going to sell adverts by saying Apple are great.

lozgti1 09 January 2017 10:18 PM

Gawd.Hope my kids don't grow up this obsessed.lol

JackClark 10 January 2017 08:25 AM

Ha! Suck it up Fandroid. The only reason you're even here is the iPhone, you owe it your existence, without it you are nothing.

You'll get a second hand S7 for a lot less than a second hand iPhone.

Not it sure what's happened if you can't see your txt. Here's what I see.
