go ahead and get a Apple iPad, my life will not change much. Most normal people would just get an Android Tablet.
If you are intellectually challenged buy an Apple product, most people who do buy Apple stuff care little for performance or specification and just see that Apple logo as being the gold standard. it is a gold standard alright, in getting fleeced. I'm not into computers and I couldn't care less about all the bollocks you and Jack bang on about endlessly, I'm pretty sure 90% of normal people on the planet are the same and just want it to perform a task. In my view my Macbook Air has been the most cost effective computer I've ever purchased and that's going back to the days of Amstrads and 486's even had custom built PC by one of my best mates who is an MCSE certified professional, and a couple of other laptops too, all nothing but trouble almost every time I switched them on, thousands down the toilet or more accurately in a skip. MackBook Air, 800 quid 6yrs and counting, not one single issue, worth every penny, if only to maintain my sanity. :thumb: Oh and from what I gather I could still get somewhere between £200/300 for it if I wanted to sell it on, but guess what, no need to because it just keeps on doing what it's supposed to. |
Exactly mate! if it works for you then good luck to you! We all want an easy life :thumb:

Best computer I had was a Toshiba something or another media centre, that was a nice bit of kit and did quite well, only problems were a couple or three viruses, power supply inside died and had to be replaced, but the final nail in the coffin was when the screen died due to the video card I believe and it's not an item that could be replaced due to the way the lap top was made. It lasted a little over 3yrs at a cost of around £1200 the Mac was cheap by comparison. Still got that one in a box in the cellar, maybe it's worth something in parts or as a trade in, i'm not sure, any pointers as to where to off load it would be good. |
I had a dell aswell as my parents few years back. Both died a death after a few months due to catching several viruses. Tried using the virus checker few times, went away then the viruses would come back. Gave up in the end and left it in the loft for another few years before chucking it away. My parents have a mac now and they've never had a problem with it. :norty:

Mines just a latitude , with no fancy add ons
had 7 pro on it but downloaded 10 for free And its nothing like previous editions admittedly I'm hardly power user |
I've been toying with the idea of buying a used one as it's probably a bit overkill buying a new one for what i need it for, is the Pro version better than the Air ?
I think 12.9 inch is probably a bit big so i was thinking of one around 9.7 inch, it's basically to use when i'm out and about with work to kill some time, to load some films onto and to use the google navigation as a sat nav, brows the internet, play games, do apple ipads come with google maps ? I'd need it to be cellular, i presume the cellular ones also have wifi built in ? If you were to recommend a used one, which would you go for ? |
You'd be happy with an Air 2, pro might be overkill.
Yes you can load Google Maps, but I prefer Apple Maps as it's better integrated easier to read and has a better voice. The cellular versions do indeed have WiFi. |
For me iPhone goggle maps more useable
|
the pro sounds so good like a mini gettoblaster...
|
Good to hear, the sound on the Air 2 was a downgrade from the 2.
