Google Analytics Help

Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to Google analytics and was wondering if what I'm after is possible.

I know how to look at what pages have been visited and also how to look at locations. What I'm really after though, is say somebody from Leeds looked at my sight, is there any way of looking at what that person looked at?

Thanks,

Nick

You can set up GA on all pages and you should be able to see a journey via a particular IP

The webite is run by eSchools as it's our school website. On the main page I've put in our GA code. When I use GA, I can see all sorts, like location, live, paths, etc... What I can't find on GA is where to find a location and the path they took.

& someone from Leeds may not actually be from Leeds. The location is based on the rough location where the IP range emanates from. An ISP may not actually have a Point of Presence in the town where a user is. Also that is confused by things like VPNs. I'm currently in SE London but logged into my corporate VPN and that routes all my internet traffic via Dublin, so it seems like I'm there. Better than Turkey or Germany as we sometimes get - makes Google searches interesting...

Thanks, still can't find anything. I can see the behaviour flows but because only 1 person from Leeds logged on, it's not on the flow chart.

I'd just like to narrow it down to see what that person from Leeds was looking at!

the analytics code needs to be on EVERY page on your site. The you will see pages they landed on, path they took and where they exited, as well as all their info and what they clicked.
Having it on just the main page is pointless.

You need to add it to something common to all pages, header/footer etc.

I can see all of those types of things. Entry pages, paths and exit pages etc...

I can figure out paths and where peoples locations are but I want to be able to click on the city and then see what they looked at. That's the bit I can't figure out.

If somebody could tell me what to press on in GA that would be great!

Thanks,

Nick.

I'd use user flow...

Change 'Country' to 'City' then click the settings cog to search for Leeds.

This link might work https://analytics.google.com/analyti...-name%3DLeeds/
