I promise it was no easy decision. The body shop were amazing really and highly recommended. The 3 stage pearl these have have 24 shades in total
I think it took 8 paint cards and it was nigh on perfect. I can honestly say now the finish on the rear is amazing, I can fault the front more! Maybe should have done the whole thing! There was a brand new S3 there having the sides painted... So you'll be surprised what actually happens!!! |
Where abouts in Herts are you? I'm Aylesbury/Tring/Berkhamsted areas. May see you about.
Was the bodyshop in Aylesbury? Think I recognise it. |
North Herts.
Body shop was nationwide harlow. They were good as gold and highly recommend if you need anything. Hopefully will be doing some meets and shows. I do t normally get this much time tbh to do anything, but circumstances have let me have a little time, which tbh is nice rather than flat out all the time!! |
Cool. I don't really do a lot of meets as never seem to get the time with the kids. Was just wondering if I'd see you around at any point! :)
I really have to squeeze to get any time on cars these days outside of essential work (which I mostly let specialists do now due to not having the time). lol |
Refreshing to see a saloon, something different.

Started wrapping headers and trick up pipe thanks to As performance for looking after me!
I used Dei titanium wrap, and stupidly I didn't use sparingly! I wrapped with 50% overlap in an attempt to hold as much heat as poss! I used both packs!! IIRC both were 50 foot!!! I had a little ocd with slip joint sliders and trick up pipe got a double wrap! I Run out on grimspeed divorced down pipe so got bored and forgot pics! https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...8695f46148.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...0f558c1b8b.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...ef41da45ea.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...b5af59266b.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...c588846bd8.jpg I've wrapped a few manifolds 1st subaru headers and by golly don't wish it upon anyone! I was getting zircotec'd but after a brief conversation on Friday, there will be a new product hopefully by summer so new ones will get done! No point in wasting extra cash on these ones! This package will be for sale once new stuffs out!! |

So made a little purchase, mainly to delete the fault codes from ecu. Once tgv and air pump and car go I'll have a car in limp home... And have a little play with map why not! It's being built anyway so if I screw it at least it's not the end of the world! I go to play with it but being a 340 ecu is locked b45tard... |
Possible for sale! If interested please send PM we will have a chat. Jamie

A little transmission service done. By no means was it required but opie oils sorted me out a treat thank you. I know my box holds 4.1 but have another 0.9 ltrs in the my garage from the old grey STI. Also yes the rear doffs hold under a litre.... to get that 0.9 in! With no fandago tool was impossible! So 1.6ltrs down I have a diff at max level!! |

The Grp N sti updated gearbox mount Big thank you to Mike at Roger Clark motorsport, he has looked after me and so deserves a Big thank you. Perrin rear shifted bush A cobb front shifter bush, I choose the cobb over Perrin this time as it has a crush tube, this allow a few extra lbs of pressure when tightening! And white line cradling e bushes This transforms the car! The gears are so much nicer to. Just falls I. And far less mca |
Had my delivery from Pro Alloy lovely people if you need anything they are amazing
Initially it was for a custom mounting bracket on my RCM track attack catch tank But I decided the Friday prior, I wanted the RCM parallel fuel rail kit, before mapping. So I decided where I wanted and left them to it few hours later all done and ready. They done an amazing job Big thanks to Chris @ pro alloy and Mike at Roger Clark https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...447e0a8eaf.jpg Fpr bracket before powder coating https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...eca3f8b7c9.jpg RCM catch tank mounted https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...329818d6cf.jpg Pro Alloy welds! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...bff8ded5e5.jpg Powder coated https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...bce980cc89.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...415af34d08.jpg Installed https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...a3eadb0c51.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...d736f1c4a6.jpg |
Nice stealthy install. This is such a good thread.
|
Thanks Stuart.
Yesterday the deal was done with RCM for Ej22t Block And Paul finch is the captain of this ship!! More coming soon |
The dial just got turned up to 11 on this one...
|
The Bank account just had a heart attack!! A dream becoming real for me. I was going to sell as too good of an example to build if I'm being honest but...
"No point in dating miss rear of the year and preserving it for the next man" |
Lovely Parcel arrived today from RCM thank you Mike.
Parallel fuel rail kit for rotated turbo.... the inevitable proofing I think is fair to call it! Due to my "position wanting!?!" I think it's fair to call it. It only requires 1 hose alteration which is amazing. Fantastic quality kit but did we expect anything less! So once that pipe is re-made get all fitted plus a special loom from JTI then its Ecu time! And I can finally use more than 50% throttle! https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...0a20f0433f.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...0a0cbecba7.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...9eb58bafd6.jpg FPR mounted on custom Bracket |

Thanks Don, I re-read the thread before I posted the above and I still missed it 2nd time around! lol.
Should be a monster then. Can't go wrong with Paul. |
Sorry been cinema to see Logan..
Yeah 2.35 full spec agreed (engine spec wise) Paul should have had delivery today!! Pictures to follow. The bolt on stuff is to be announced something is coming!! |
Awesome thread subscribed
|
So before I post I must publicly thank both
Mike and Matt at Roger Clark Motorsport. My full spec will unfold, but I asked for a good pair of block halves, being thin on the ground getting a hold of a "good pair" cold mean anything!... Mr Finch received my block halves today, we had a quick chat and Paul said "BEST ONES HE HAS SEEN IN YEARS" A man of this caliber saying that! Wow thank you so much. You get what you pay for, expensive NO, PRICELESS. |

Also there was zero "definitive" weight on this car so after sweet talking a local recycle center I got my car on the weigh bridge
So it has Perrin FMIC which is a monster and weighs mega! And exhaust weighs very similar to std Strengthened tailgate and genuine subaru spoiler! And that's about it tbh std everything else 1498 kg Yes she is heavy! But actually not that bad for her size tbh! I was expecting worse! It is far more refined looks truly amazing and is so sexy (possible Biased) but looks like a Hawkeye on steroids and I loved my Hawkeye. It could have been a lot worse some report I read was like 1700 odd!! Now this weight was without me.... I'm no bean pole! And just under half a tank! Truth be told! It's acceptable, I'm happy We all know the fat birds give the best blow jobs. |
Could a Mod please message me please
|
It's been done a few weeks now and I'm still undecided tbh! Please share your views!
The front lower splitter is genuine Carbon, I purchased it from Ali express. Reason being It was the only one I really liked that followed the contours of the front bumper! In the middle it rises slightly, nearly all didn't go up in contour! I wrapped it all carbon I actually did I messaged 2 companys neither came back.... shame I don't really mess about I won't chase If you not interested your not interested.... but I enjoyed doing it none the less! Anyway Why wrap real carbon, attention to detail the ht Autos kit is only available in plastic so if I wrapped I would hate it's odd carbon! I am still 50/50 if I love or not! I may consider painting all a very deep Black piano black effect! I'll give it some time. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...98d3d17176.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...b70cc21400.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...ada3c468e5.jpg HT Autos side lower and rear lower skirts https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...c2ff895f36.jpg Carbon Wrapped https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...162193709d.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...ecb1ac0c8f.jpg Awful Awful Awful! https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...16a0866236.jpg Carbon Wrapped! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...ffdcd48b1b.jpg |
One from My Caravan at the weekend, what's amazing it was the second time I've checked the oil!! I haven't driven hard purely its still on **** 340 map and I've swapped exhaust and intake.
But I've driven it 2500 miles since owning and it's not used a single drop of oil!! For the Amazing Ej257 this must be a miracle!! https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...577c57cb21.jpg |
Looks lovely. I do like the whole grounding kit, i.e. skirt extensions and bumper bits etc. Just completes it.
If it were me, I'd gloss them rather than carbon! :) Although, that said you've done a good job on it. |
