Pick up my blob sti in the morning..

Got a 120 mile trip back in it from the Peak District to Luton so that should be fun!😎
I'll get some pics up of it over the weekend, does anyone know of a Subaru specialist in the south east I can take it to for its service and mods? The Subaru garage I used to take my old scoobs too is now Citroen and Isuzu.

Thanks a lot 👍

All the best and enjoy.

Tim Farmer is a very good, experienced mobile mechanic. Zen in Earith (just noth of cambridge) are subaru specialist workshop.

No pics?? Did it happen :wonder:

If He'd of bought a wrx then would have been home by now,120miles in an sti will take at least 3 days :D

Recovery Ray 18 December 2016 11:53 AM

Can get very tiring changing them 6 speed boxes, might of had to break the journey.:)

enjoy......

Peedee 18 December 2016 12:03 PM

The extra weight of those brembos and 6 speed box and the extra drag on the high level spoiler would have added days onto the journey :-)

Get some pics up dude!

Uncle Creepy 18 December 2016 12:26 PM

He'll just be filling up at a Shell, lads. Don't forget, an STi only manages a miserly 3 mpg. Only the WRX can return a solid 55 mpg. :thumb:

I'm sure the OP will be making the correct modifications to get it up to the spec of the WRX.

Or he's bought a wrx advertised as a sti with brembo's on and just realised he's missing 6th gear :lol1:

joz8968 19 December 2016 12:45 PM

You know what it's like when you get a new, exiting motor: can't get enough of it! Out in it constantly. He's prob no different lol.

- In 1997 (nearly 29yo) I used inheritance money to buy my dream car: an Integrale Evo. I acquired her on a beautiful Friday summer evening, located in Docklands, London.

For the whole weekend I was out in it (Fri eve to Sun night) - only stopping home for meals, calls of nature and bed lol. I teared through £372 worth of petrol over that amazing weekend.

Aahhh, the treasured memories. :king:

Sorry for the delay...
all went fine thanks👍
The guy I got it from was very genuine and had a great knowledge of these cars as he had a P1 shell in his garage he was doing some crazy build on to be a track weapon!
Was a fun drive home and good to be back in a scoob again after 5 years in a vectra 🙈
All in all it's a nice tidy example for the age.. only thing I want to do asap is get the mirrors re-sprayed as they are badly stone chipped but other than that the body work is nice.
Not sure how I upload a couple of pics but I'm sure my missus will know so will put a couple up when she's home! 🙄

One quick question.. is the scoobynet sticker still available on here? I've seen the sticky but the link didn't work when I tried lastnight??

Thanks people 👍😎

johned 19 December 2016 08:45 PM
