Iphone 6s vs 7 ?

Worth the swap? looks the same to me, apart from the camera. :wonder:

dpb 14 December 2016 12:06 PM

You may get dual sim ?

Devildog 14 December 2016 03:18 PM

Don't be silly Duncan :p

I'd say no. (Have both - work and personal)

bioforger 14 December 2016 08:52 PM

No.

toffee_pie 14 December 2016 09:18 PM

make that 3 nays

JackClark 14 December 2016 10:34 PM

If you've got money to burn on 1 year upgrade cycles then go for it. There's no denying it's better.

dpb 15 December 2016 02:20 PM

No 2nd sim possibilities , inc data ??

dpb 15 December 2016 07:11 PM

This looked promising , and then they tell you you cant use data off 2nd sim :brickwall

Version 2 Moto G, duel sim, does everything and way more than I need, cost 130 quid, had it about 2yrs no fuss no problems. :thumb:

dpb 17 December 2016 05:32 PM

Can get motog 4 play for 80 , not dual sim though

pimmo2000 22 December 2016 11:37 AM

Didn't cost me anything so I took the 7 .. it's the same phone with a different .. potentially annoying home button..

I'd be a bit annoyed had I spent my own money on it.

Shaun 22 December 2016 07:44 PM

It's the biggest disappointment I've had with an iPhone upgrade and I went from a 6 (non s) to the 7.

I suspect this is what happens when the Corporation isn't being headed up by Jobs.

dpb 22 December 2016 07:54 PM

i don't think you look to apple for excitement

neil-h 22 December 2016 08:25 PM

Begs to ask the question, what do you look for excitement in?

neil-h 22 December 2016 09:29 PM

All that waffle and you didn't actually answer the question. Go you :thumb:

Strangely defensive post?

I do take pleasure and excitement in new "toys"

I thought it was a perfectly reasonable question. You see all the **** Apple get for not innovating but what real excitement/innovation is there in the sector at the moment? The only phone I've seen in the past year which is worth getting excited over is the Moto Z, everything else is much of a muchness.

dpb 22 December 2016 11:24 PM

Moto z play looks fun

And half price

dpb 23 December 2016 02:14 AM

I think there's some kind detachable lens equipment for iPhone 6 onward having said that ?

Mines also only crashed handful times, in whole year

Most iphones come with some kind of fantastic new feature or improved design. This one appears (so far) to be a simple money spinner.

I'd love to go from my 6 to a 7. The chip performance, wide gamut display, W1 chip, Taptic engine, 3d touch, water protection and camera are enough of an upgrade for me. Just don't have £300 toy money to do the deed. Some people need flames on the case, so it's not only obvious to themselves but to others that they're using the best there is.

What fun is an iphone 7? aside from looking for lost ear buds, and looking for dongles.

There is none as it stands, why do you think i don't own one...

As for lost ear buds and dongles, can we get over it and move on now? You don't have to use the ear pods if you don't want to, you're free to use any of the other multitude of bluetooth headphones that are much less loosable if you're particularly careless.

And dongles... how can you in one breath criticise Apple for not innovating and then proceed to bitch and moan about the fact they've done away with a 20 year old comms standard in favour of using wireless?

I could live with an Android device and do need a new one for next year, I'm a heavy G apps user so it's simple to switch the basic stuff.

I'd like a pixel because nobody would know I'd switched until I start swearing and throw it on the ground, which is why I need a new one.

dpb 23 December 2016 09:23 AM

You wouldn't have to throw your headphones away though

Pixel works great with Bluetooth headphones, not as good as the W1 chip but great.

Exactly the same feeling here.
Being waterproof is a bonus as I am often out in serious weather with mine. But thats about it really.

I guess the taptic engine is nice.
I dont seem to care for 3D touch.

Meh...
Biggest downgrade for me, most wont care about. And its the fact the home button is no longer a button... and I really needed a button!

JackClark 28 December 2016 01:22 PM

I see that, I don't regret not upgrading and I'm on a 6+.

There's lots of new stuff that I'd really like, force touch, taptic, dual camera, stereo speakers, but 'really like' isn't enough to get my toy money right now.

I'm not a big fan of the new "button" either to be fair. The phone side by side for performance on my 6s is identical.

I've literally gained water proofing, but if you look at the 6s it's actually quite water proof, unless you take it swimming.:Whatever_
