A45 vs RS3 vs (new) TTRS - VBOX datalogs
1 Attachment(s)
I've tried to keep it as simple as possible.
All cars are different, tuned (if that's the case) by different tuners and were all logged on different roads. The RS3 Stage 2 was logged on a drag strip, which based on experience, gives slower times (due to increased surface drag) than those done on road tarmac. Plenty of caveats, but this data provides a "picture". These results are taking VBOX logs and correcting them for slope (which is what this specific application does). It's not 100% scientific, but at least provides some form of comparison..... and that's all it is. One word of caution..... do not take VBOX "verified" runs or VBOX screen grabs as gospel. They can be "out" due to slope (normally downhill lol), so hence why we now use something called DBScanner to verify a figure with slope being taken out (to a degree) of the equation. The "TEST NAME" should be self explanatory as to which car it is. You need to look at the KORR column as this is the corrected figure. Forgetting the image of the TTRS..... this is new one is a mega quick car stock! Attachment 28527 |

Interesting info there Shaun.
In all the tests except the 100-200kmh the stage 1 RS3 has a quicker time. But no denying the time of the TTRS are very quick! |
Hard to "forget the image" especially as the impreza is universally labelled as a chav car, so by the same token the TT will forever be known as a hairdressers car regardless of how fast it is lol

Isn't the TTRS the quickest in every test, in terms of both normal time and corrected time... or am I misreading the table?
Sorry, yes that wasn't very clear was it. I meant between the stage 1 and stage 2 RS3 times. |
Do ANY guys actually drive a car called a "Titty @rse"?
|
I must admit I did once upon a time, and I don't look back on ownership with fond memories. But don't worry, I'm back in a proper car now! ;)

The only reason that happened was because a)the Stage 2 data was from a drag strip with higher tyre drag than the other "road runs" and b)the Stage 2 data was from a run that did a pathetic 60ft in 1.97s (really bad launch traction)! :lol1: :D That Stage 2 will be quicker everywhere over the Stage 1 RS3.... like for like road. |
Well that's what got me thinking, how can it be slower based on the times you put up?
The on the road bum dyno doesn't usually lie in those test :D |
