Well i have finally had chance to give the car a good run, it was a lovely dry and sunny morning here today and also my day off. The roads have finally dried up so the perfect opportunity for a bit of seat time. The car feels astonishingly quick and torque delivery in the first few gears really pins you in your seat. The around town drive ability is so smooth and effortless, I could quite easily have this as my daily drive as its so well behaved and dare i say easy to drive. When you plant the accelerator though things go a bit loopy :D Even with dry roads the car was still lighting up the tyres in second and third gears. A short clip from today. |
|
Nice, what tyres are you running?
|
Mental. Love it!
|
Sounds ballistic but no vid dubzy.. or is it my fablet?

I can believe that, can only to get mine to spin on launch. Ad08s. But previous budget tyres spun in 3rd.
Massive difference imo. |

Thought about the newer AR-1 or the 888R
Which is a shame as i really fancied the ar1s |
I wasnt sure what to do regarding the exterior styling as i quite like the way it looks pretty standard to the untrained eye. After seeing more pics of Iain's car with the flares fitted Im seriously thinking about joining the club.
What u reckon busta ?? |

Yep as sj said, big decision, and can be quite expensive, paint, new wheels, tyres etc.
I want to do it at some point but I'd rather leave it a while. It's becoming quite common so best I leave it till long as possible and only do it because wider tyres needed for more grip. |
I agree with busta it's very common these days.
Plenty of grip to be had stock arches ;) |

There a vids of same car, same day, same driver going 3 sec a lap slower on a new set of ar 1s than the worn r888.
Which is a shame as i really fancied the ar1s |
